By law, the protection of Wyoming's children is everyone's responsibility. Child abuse and neglect are community problems. No single agency, individual or discipline along has the necessary skills, knowledge or resources to provide the assistance needed by child victims and their families. You can do your part by reporting suspected child abuse or neglect. Reports may be made anonymously.
If you suspect a child is a victim of abuse or neglect, call the authorities immediately. You don’t have to determine if a child is being abused or neglected, just report it and the appropriate authorities will make that decision. Reports can be made by calling one of the following numbers:

When reporting, the following information will be requested:
- Name, age and gender of child and other family members
- Address, phone numbers, and/or directions to child's home
- Parent(s) place of employment
- Description of suspected abuse
- Current condition of the child
Reasons NOT to report child abuse:
- Never falsely report child abuse as a JOKE
- Never falsely report child abuse for spite
- Never falsely report child abuse for revenge
